Here at Everflow solutions we believe that looking after our world is a shared responsibility. We have a range of environmental policies aimed at reducing our impact and taking affirmative action.
We make sure that we adhere to all the relevant legal environmental requirements, and take steps to improve our practises even before it becomes a requirement to do so.
We’re proud to know that our filters are responsible for reducing plastic wastage that would have otherwise been generated from bottled water.
Steps in the right direction
Water filtration has a mixed history with sustainability, we're working to lead the industry in the right direction
Recognising the mistakes of the past and working to build a brighter future
While there are many positive environmental benefits to water filtration, there have been some challenges as well. Reverse osmosis systems are often the primary choice for a variety of commercial uses, due to their increased effectiveness and their longevity. However reverse osmosis systems are the worst offenders for environmental harm, they often produce a significant amount of wastewater which places undue strain on public septic systems, furthermore they consume power which contributes to co2 emissions.
It would be ideal to replace reverse osmosis systems with a more environmentally friendly alternative, unfortunately this is impractical without a viable alternative available. To best deal with this problem we have worked to improve the efficiency of our reverse osmosis systems in order to significantly reduce the amount of wastewater produced, our systems produce up to 50% less wastewater over conventional reverse osmosis systems. We have also begun a policy of encouraging businesses to use solar systems to power their reverse osmosis filters to reduce their carbon footprint.
